GARD Guide Rollout

The GARD Guide has been garnering excellent response from the world-wide mining community.  Over twenty presentations, including three short courses, have been prepared and presented or are scheduled during the latter part of 2010.  The locations include Australia, Brazil, Chile, Europe, and North America.  INAP appreciates the great support of our Global Alliance members is this effort.

GARD Guide Update

After a herculean effort by Keith Ferguson and others, a draft GARD Guide will be placed on the Wiki at the end of February 2009 for review and vetting.  The official roll-out of the GARD Guide will be at the ICARD 8 on June 23, 2009.

ICARD 8

June 22-28, 2009 were the dates of the ICARD 8.  It was an outstanding conference on acid rock drainage as well as the GARD Guide roll-out.  We also enjoyed the midnight sun near the Arctic Circle.

Water Treatment Workshop

Tucson, Arizona was the site of the INAP Water Treatment Workshop co-hosted by Freeport McMoRan and BHP Billiton in October 2009.  It was very successful and paved the way for future INAP workshops.

Kinross Gold is INAP's newest member!

We are happy to announce Kinross Gold as the newest member of INAP.  Welcome aboard!  Dean Williams, Leoardo Bissacot, and Rory Tibbals have agreed to be company representatives to the INAP Operating Comittee.

INAP gets a new administrative assistant

INAP would like to introduce you to Andrea Chatwin, the new administrative assistant.  Please forward any questions you may have to her.  We bid a fond farewell to Amber Turner who is in the process of moving to Tasmania.  She has done an excellent job!
